Panthers Hold Off Late Goodfellas Surge

The Championship Game between the Goodfellas and the Panthers in the 30+ Spring 2023 Division was a nail biter through the first 6 innings, tied one run a piece. After having lost the first Championship Game to the Goodfellas the week before, both teams came out ready to win. With runners on base, excellent pitching, and some awesome defensive plays you could feel the tensions building. The Panthers scored a tie-breaking run in the top of the 7th, with time still left on the clock an 8th inning began. The Panthers began a rally that put an additional 5 runs on the board. In the bottom of the 8th, the Goodfellas made started to put a dent in the Panther’s run lead, but the last out was made after time expired and the final score was Panthers 7, Goodfellas 4. Joseph Koch pitched an impressive entire game for the Panthers and earned the MVP for the game. Great job Panthers!!!
